Ideal location for
tranquility or touring
The location of Peyloubère in the Gers and at the very heart of Gascony, is ideal for those
seeking a peaceful holiday but with every facility close at hand. Equally,
it is an excellent centre from which to explore and tour the beautiful
countryside, historic towns and ancient villages and châteaux of the
region. In addition the area offers a wide variety of
sporting facilities and attractions to suit all tastes.
Auch, the capital of
The busy centre of Auch, is only a few kilometers away and has everything
expected of a regional capital :-

Auch Cathedral is world famous, as is
Gascony's foie-gras and Armagnac, and the town's association with d'Artagnan, the
'fourth musketeer', is much celebrated in statue, museum and the exhibition in
his home village of Lupiac.
Sporting and leisure
Casino - opened in November 2000,
Castéra-Verduzan now hosts a gambling Casino as well as its newly
refurbished thermal centre - see below.

more serious angling are available for lakes and rivers in the area.
Golf - there
is a choice of 9 and 18-hole golf courses at Auch, Eauze, Fleurance, Marciac,

Jet-bikes and Karting track-
for those who prefer mechanical transport, the countryside can be explored
by quad-bike and their is an indoor Karting track 5 minutes from Peyloubère.
Tennis - the Tennis Club Auscitain
offers hourly rental of tennis courts as well as coaching and all normal
Theme Parks -
there is a Walibi theme park at Agen (1hr) as well as the European Space
Park, 'La Cité de l'Espace' and an aquatic theme park, 'Aqualand', in Toulouse
Thermal Centres - for a day of sheer
pampering and relaxation, there is a choice of three thermal centers at
Lectoure, Castéra-Verduzan and Barbotan-les-Thermes.
Vert en l'Air - just five minutes from
Peyloubère, this is a tree-top acrobatic park with
challenges suitable for all ages. They also offer Paintball adventures!
Cycling - walking in the Pyrénées is spectacular and there are also over
1500km of walking and cycling routes in the area (route maps and books

For those who wish to
explore further afield, there are historic buildings, Armagnac châteaux, medieval villages and fortified towns too numerous to
mention. The great mountains of the Pyrénées are less than an
hour's drive away, as are the towns of Pau, Condom, Albi, Lourdes, Toulouse and
many more. Biarritz and the Atlantic coast, the Spanish border and beyond
and the spectacular scenery and cheap shopping of Andorra - all are within a few
hours drive from Peyloubère.
A wide variety of
special events take place in the Gers throughout the year. For example
music festivals - Jazz, Country, Salsa and Classical; bullfighting; astronomy,
marionette and boomerang festivals (truly!); antiques and medieval fairs; horse
race meetings; a Casino; day and night markets; and 'Circa', ten days of circus performance
