Local Markets

A list of markets is included in the welcome pack at your cottage as well as a list of the dates of the night markets.

Night markets - for those who are not familiar with night markets, they are held in selected villages during the summer holidays and start at around 8 in the evening.  There are stalls of all kinds but the main purpose of the evening is to eat out of doors at one of the restaurants set up for the occasion.  There is often music, dancing, fireworks and sometimes street performers.  In addition to those referred to below (*) there are three night markets held at the Chateau de Lavardens during July and August.  The chateau itself is well worth a visit and provides an exceptional setting for the market.
