About the cottages

Domaine de Peyloubère has five self catering holiday cottages on the estate which accommodate up to 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 people. They have all been refurbished and re-equipped to a high standard of comfort and convenience, with families in mind. Babies and young children are welcomed and suitable equipment, facilities and toys are provided at no charge - see Babies & Toddlers. 'Giulietta', 'Les Rosiers', 'Les Cedres', 'Les Iris' and 'Fermier' are all very different in size and shape and, together with the main house, are arranged around a circular rose garden. Each cottage has its own entrance and they are arranged at differing angles to maintain privacy.

Three of the cottages were originally the homes of the 'gardiens' or estate staff and, wherever possible, their period timbered character has been maintained. 'Les Rosiers' is in the oldest wing of the Manoir and 'Les Iris' has been created from the old coach house. Each cottage has its own garden where meals can be eaten under the shade of old established trees.

The cottages are fully centrally heated and available to let throughout the year with the exception of 'Les Iris' which is only available between May and October. 'Les Rosiers' and 'Fermier' have inglenook fireplaces making them favourites during winter months. During the High Season, bookings are from Saturday to Saturday but at other times, and subject to availability, we are happy to accept bookings of any duration (see Prices).

Summary of equipment

A detailed specification of equipment is included in the information for each cottage. In summary, all cottage kitchens are fitted with a full-size cooker or oven/hob, large fridge-freezer, washing machine and dishwasher and have equipment to cater for the number of people accommodated. All cottages have a music centre, barbeque and garden furniture. The beds have good quality mattresses, many of them interior-sprung. Furniture is good quality, comfortable and practical and suitable for year-round use.

Facilities at Peyloubère

Guests are free to use all the facilities of the estate including the heated fresh water swimming pool (12 x 6m). The pool is usually open from April to November and is heated from May to October. Together with the surrounding paved area, it is enclosed by a fence and two self-closing gates. The owners are resident and have a separate pool which is also used by guests to the two chambre d'hôtes. Also available on site - table tennis, badminton and a football lawn, which is also ideal for cricket and other team games, as well as the health Spa which offers a sauna, 5-person therapeutic spa, sunbathing terrace and private garden. Guests are free to fish the lake and river and to enjoy the woodland and gardens for peaceful walks, bird watching and wild flower collecting. Peyloubère has a group membership of the small tennis club at Pavie (a 5-minute walk) and rackets and balls are available. Each cottage has a library of books and there is a central collection of games, videos and music.

Inclusive in the price

Prices are inclusive of gas, electricity and central heating (if required) as well as all bed linen and bathroom towels and mats. Guests should bring their own pool towels. Beds will be made up ready for arrival and a change of linen is supplied once a week. Families with young children are welcomed (see Babies & Toddlers) and three cots with linen and high chairs are available free of charge. In the High Season we offer discounted rates for bookings of 2 weeks or more, and at other times there are special rates for short stays of up to 4 nights. Refer to Prices for further details.

WI-FI - a wireless Hot-Spot is available for guests which is accessible from the rosegarden.

A small additional charge is made for each of the following services:

Cleaning - A mid-stay clean can be arranged if required and, at the end of your stay, you may either choose to clean the cottage yourselves or we can arrange a full end-of-stay clean.

Television - All cottages have aerials for terrestrial channels and a television/video or dvd receiver can be supplied upon request. A large selection of video tapes are available at no charge.

Short Stay Shopping Service - For short stays a breakfast shopping service is available which provides you with most of the basics that you should require, together with selected other items that you request.
