Les Rosiers
‘Les Rosiers’
is set apart from the other cottages and is located in the oldest wing of the
Manoir, benefiting from the generous proportions of the original kitchen and
dining room. Like all the cottages, it has been totally renovated and
re-equipped.
The cottage enjoys a separate access to the Domaine and overlooks
its own shady garden on one side and the circular rose garden on the other - for
which it is named. The garden includes the original well-house complete
with a working rotary hand pump. The well is safely secured.
The focal point of the large living room is a magnificent beamed fireplace for
log fires in cooler weather. Tall french windows lead into the garden making the
room wonderfully cool and fresh in the heat of the day. There is a spacious
double room with 150cm bed. The superb wooden ceiling is one of those painted by
Mario Cavaglieri during his occupation of Peyloubčre. The second double bedroom
has 90cm bunks, large and comfortable enough for children and teenagers alike.
The bathroom has a shower, basin and WC and the kitchen/breakfast room has a small storeroom
alongside.
